You did not complain when you bought a shirt of 15,000 Naira. You did not complain when you bought a shoe for 30,000 Naira, but you complained when they asked you to buy a book for 2,000 Naira. You complained when you were invited to register with 10,000 Naira to attend a seminar.
Are you not aware that a book or seminar can give you ideas that can help you build a shirt or shoe company? I was told the story of someone who bought a book of 3,000 Naira, he got some ideas from the book, made a presentation, and was paid hundreds of thousands of Naira.
I grew up among books. My father was a book lover, buyer and reader, but I did not love reading until I started working on my vision. My father started the home library behind me. I added more books. The library is like a gold mine to me. The books behind me are only on one shelf. There are other shelves.
You, too need to change. There are treasures in books and seminars. You must be intentional in paying for the information you need. Jim Rohn says, “You don’t get what you need. You get what you deserve.” You need success, but do you deserve it? I changed. I now value information. You too need to change. Every personal developer must invest in his or her personal development.
