WHY THE HARD ECONOMY IS NOT AN EXCUSE

Yes, the economy is hard. Very hard for most people. I am also facing the heat, yet I still spend money on my children’s school fees, rent, food, light and phone units/data etc. That confirms to me that no matter how hard the economy is money must be spent on things that are very important to me.

In the past, I would have probably focused on making excuses. Waiting for help to come from uncles, friends, aunts and others. All of them are good channels for getting help, but for how long would a person continue on that lane? They also have their needs.

I had to have a change in philosophy. I had to find a way of becoming a blessing instead of a burden. Personal development is very important to me.  I have to find different ways of investing in my personal growth. I need to do it because I am aware that if I want to do more I have to first become more. I don’t want to be my biggest obstacle because of low capacity. If I become better, if you become better, if we become better, we will do better. I want to develop my capacity to enable me to help others do the same so that we can do better together.

Is personal development important to you? You cannot invest in it if it is not. However, despite the hard economy you will consistently avoid excuses and find different ways of making progress. Are you complaining or investing? Are you looking for redundancy or progress? You have to move away from waiting until things get better before you make a move. You need to become better and make things better. Go beyond excuses to results despite the hard economy. Have faith in God. It is possible with Him.
