IMPACTING HUMANITY

Jesus says, “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house” (Matthew 5:14-15 NLT). Light is meant to be seen: it lights the path for the bearer and others within reach.
When people see the light in you they will praise your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16).

Since the fall of humanity, many problems have been confronting us. No matter how hard we try to make things right (by our efforts) we end up creating more problems.
Whatever gift you have, you can use this general perspective to give God the glory. Wherever you find yourself, let people feel the positive impact of what God is using you to achieve.

Preaching the gospel so that people in darkness will have light is a major way of achieving the general perspective. You can give God the glory by advocating for the government to rise up to its responsibility and do what is right. You can also help people who are affected in crisis with resources to rebuild their lives. The sick people in hospitals can also benefit from you. Your neighbours who don’t have food to eat can be helped. Many widows and orphans need you to arise and play your part in supporting them. If you know how to help the wayward youth in your area, you don’t have to wait for somebody to do that. Become the change agent they need. These are responsibilities we have to support humanity and by so doing achieve the purpose.
