YOUR DARKEST MOMENTS BEFORE A BREAKTHROUGH

I realized that in living meaningfully, the devil attacks the hardest when a person is close to a major victory. You can never reach a moment of temptation-free living. For forty days Jesus was tempted by the devil (Luke 4:2). Eventually, Jesus overcame, but the devil did not leave him permanently. “When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time” (Luke 4:13NIV).

No matter how mature you are there are sizes of fights you must be confronted with occasionally. The devil will keep on going and coming back. He will try to confuse you and stop you. You can become a victim or a victor. The choice is yours.

One of the biggest offences I had faced so far eventually became one of my biggest experiences for growth. Even though painful, I am grateful to God for the way I handled it. I made a commitment to benefit from the challenge. As a result, my views on some issues have improved. A few chapters were included in this book because of the offence. Other chapters have been enhanced because of the better me.

In the past, I often wrote and spoke on forgiveness from the head, but now I do from the head and heart. I know for sure that no matter the warfare I face, God will always use them for good. “We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28 TEV).

Sometimes the fight will not come in hard ways, but soft packages. The devil can use good things to distract you. He can use people to give you good advice instead of better ones to limit you from achieving better expansion. You need to be sensitive in following God’s leads.
