The information age has changed most of our philosophies and values. There are pressures to succeed everywhere. A young girl told me that she has stopped patronising a social media platform because her friends are intimidating her with their display of expensive items.
Maybe you are also worried about what people would say. Your friends on social media look successful, but you are not. You put on clothes, but someone is checking the label to know which designer. You cannot live in a low house because your friends will laugh at you. You hate your car because your friends drive better cars and may laugh at you. Your cell phone is great, but you worry because it is not the latest brand. You cannot afford an expensive wedding, but you force yourself into debt to impress others. Your shoes are okay, but you want branded shoes to attract attention.
Well, if you want to remain frustrated and depressed, continue living to impress others even when you know you cannot afford the items.
Have a process and cherish it. Grow effectively. The right time will come. Personal developers are genuine in their development. Be original. Be grateful. Value the process. Speed towards the wrong direction is a disaster.
