I wrote this and sent it to a group of leaders. “Something must qualify you to write the book. Good books are written by experts. What is your area of expertise?”
One of them made this comment. “The greatest book in the universe was not written by experts!”
This is my response. “It depends on your definition of an expert. In the book writing context, it is not limited to formal expertise like scholars in the academic context. It means anyone who knows something well or first hand and only him or her can tell it better. You are an expert in your story. You can tell it better. The writers who wrote the greatest book (that is if that book is the Holy Bible) you mentioned were experts in this context. They knew what they wrote very well without errors.”
You can write a book about a woman simply because you are a woman. You can be an expert in exclusive knowledge like Moses and the burning bush experience. You can be an expert in parenting as a parent. You can be an expert on a subject through formal education. You can be an expert in personal experiences etc.
Find your area of expertise and write a good book about it.
