WHAT IS WRONG WITH AFRICA (PART TWO)

Many Africans have sold their processes, which means they have lost several opportunities to learn, and obtain conversion of raw materials experiences and wisdom. The process is more important than the result. The process makes us stronger and organic owners of our systems.

Unfortunately, as governments and people, it has become a tradition to ask for help from outside Africa immediately after the  idea conception. Help comes in different forms that lead us to results, but denies us the creative process of going through the pain of searching, learning, unlearning and relearning. That is why most of our structures collapse when funding from outside Africa stops coming.

We cannot sustain them because we didn’t participate in the realistic process. The only experience we have is from conception to results, without the organic creativity of finding and losing that are hidden in the process.

Africans must refocus and effectively participate in the idea conception, organic participation in the process, and the realization of the idea. Ownership of the control room is the major way towards changing the stations that are producing and shaping the programmes of our lives and journeys as Africans.

Personal development is very important in realizing ownership. We must first become more to do more. We must build what we can own. The process matters.
