Growth is not happening if there are no tensions.
Growth is a journey. The journey is always hard if the growth is genuine and sustainable. A broiler chicken does not feel the real growth tension like the local chicken because it is not normal.
Understanding these steps is important:
THE VISION STAGE
This is the stage of excitement. People are excited about a vision that seems like a solution to their pressing need or problem. In such a situation, important questions are often not asked because of the excitement.
People embrace each other and go to work. Many people are unsure of the reality of the vision, so some questions are avoided.
THE SCALING AND ORGANIZING STAGE
Now, this stage is the toughest because the questions that were avoided and the clarifications that were not made are now on the table. Answers must be provided. Tensions rise, and anger is displayed for or against. If not handled well, the movement will be highly injured.
Friends may become enemies, and enemies may become friends. You will hear noise when a panel beater is shaping a car.
THE RESOLUTION STAGE
The tensions in the second stage are not the end, depending on how they were handled. If the people choose to continue despite the tensions and anger, then maturity and wisdom will now come into play. There will be give and take. Some sacrifices must now take place. Harmony despite differences will be achieved. The overall goal of starting in the first place will take over. A common ground will be reached if the people still desire to continue together.
If not, separation may happen like Abraham and Lot. Each group to his side, and multiple groups will be formed. The people have a choice to make.
GROWTH MANIFESTATION
This depends on how the third stage was handled. If handled together and there is no division, then the organization will happen. The clarity will be made. Boom! The collective growth will happen. Everyone may be happy.
Celebration and laughter will take place.
However, if division is the side the people choose, there will be setbacks, new tensions, and high competition for relevance and control.
The people must start from the first stage again, and there will be a new journey.
Together in progress despite the obstacles is always the path to sustainable growth.
