I started in 1995 as a scriptwriter, actor, producer, and director. I wrote and directed two films: GOOD FOR EVIL and BORN BAD. Later, I moved into novel writing.
Over the years, some readers have said they enjoy the practicality and politeness in my storytelling approach. A few scholars have also written articles about my writing style. My desire has always been for readers to “watch” my stories on paper as they read.
At first, I did not connect this style to my experience in the film industry, but later I realised the connection. I believe my directing experience has strengthened my storytelling through suspense, twists, and vivid scenes that feel almost tangible. Combining visual storytelling with writing has become one of the strongest ingredients in my work.
The ability to explain things simply while still covering so much is also a directing skill.
Try the experience. Combine writing with film directing. The combination is powerful.
The picture is from a scene in our first movie, where I acted as Jackson.
